365-antifearverses:

It all goes down to the basics. It doesn’t matter to God how long you’ve been a Christian, or how long have you been serving in his ministry. No one is exempted from the Lord bringing us back to basic.
Reason? Knowledge numbs our senses. We know too much, we transform into impertinent big heads and act like know-it-alls. Our ear receptors are blocked, our hearts are hardened. An excess of something is not good and knowledge is not an exception to the rule.
Basic is mature. If you remember Jesus answering the disciples who gets into the kingdom of heaven, he holds up a child and says, “This kid knows how to do the job.” Hence, unless we return to Salvation 101 or Humility 101, sadly for us, we can’t reach heaven. Jesus was serious when he said this. (Stating a fact.)
God putting us back to basic is not a form of mockery or a way to humiliate us. Picture this as God beating us down with a stick to make us learn (or relearn) a lesson… only, in a gentleman way. Sometimes, we need a little beating to get things right. Otherwise, when will our stubborn big heads ever learn?
